Align the selected object(s) to specific areas of the document such as corners, edges and center. Select the object and locate the alignment tools at the top of the Properties panel on the right or via the alignment palette. On the right, select the Align to Drawing button and you can then use the small buttons that appear in the panel, to align the selection.
