New features have been added to MacDraft 5.5 to enhance performance and improve image and text quality. MacDraft now uses Quartz Graphics, the native graphics engine for OS X. Import Picture has been added to allow the import of PICT, TIFF, GIF, JPEG/JFIF and Windows BMP formats.

MacDraft offers it's users maximum drawing control for their architectural home designs. Layers give you the ability to organize your drawings so that you have the power to hide or gray whole sections of your work, so for example you could have your floor plan on one layer and your electrical schematics on another, then you can choose to hide them or show them as required. Your layers can even have different scales in the same drawing!

MacDraft provides a vast array of drawing tools, including constrained and unconstrained lines, rectangles, circles, arcs, ellipses, polygons, curves, freehand sketching, marker symbols, and the creation of text. Linked dimensioning includes linear dimensions, perpendicular, radial, angular, circle center, and more. MacDraft's dimension palette is always on hand to provide you with any type of dimension you need.
